Modification of platform mail configuration
We would like to inform you that we have added more options for setting up your own e-mail account on the platform.
Until now, it was possible to use:
- The generic evolCampus account to send emails: plataforma@mailsp.evolcampus.com
- Your SMTP mail server using your own email account to send emails. In this way, the emails are sent from your mail server with an account with your domain or with free accounts from providers that allow it (Hotmail, Yahoo...).
From now on you will be able to choose one more option:
- Use the platform service (DNS) which means using your own domain to configure the sending of emails without using your SMTP server. In this way, the emails will be sent from our servers, but with the email address that you configure with your own domain. This service has no sending restrictions. The emails are sent from the email account of your choice, which does not necessarily have to exist. This system has the advantage that once configured, you do not have to modify anything, since it does not require the account password.
To modify this setting, you only need to access your domain panel to create the relevant DNS records and know that the mails will be sent from that moment on with the account of your choice (no-reply by default).
First, enter evolCampus, in Settings -> Email account settings. Once there, select the second option 'Personalized account with your domain' and follow the steps indicated on the screen (there is a help link for the process):
