New Activity: Profile Assessment

We have created a new activity called Profile Assessment that opens up new possibilities for creating your content. This activity focuses on measuring and analyzing qualitative aspects, so we recommend using it when students need to take a personality test, complete a professional skills questionnaire, etc.

We’ll explain in detail what this entails so you can assess whether it might be useful for your training programs.

When creating a Profile Assessment activity, you can configure the visibility of the results on the students’ campus, as well as define the number of attempts they’ll have available. Additionally, you can create and manage categories, which are a mandatory and integral part of this activity since they represent the parameters you’ll be assessing in the activity.

When creating one or more categories, you must assign a name to each one to indicate which aspect the questions will measure, and in the description, specify their score ranges, along with what each range means or how it is interpreted, since this information will later appear in the results.

The categories will be visible to administrators, so they can view each student’s results, and students will also be able to see them, provided we do not hide the option to view results on Campus.

When creating questions, you can select single-choice or numeric-value answers:

Finally, in addition to being able to view all students' activities and attempts in the Grades section, we now have a new report available that compiles all of their responses for evaluation:

Once a student has completed the activity:

if the results have not been hidden on the campus, this is how the result, its interpretation, and the category it refers to will be displayed:

As you will see, this activity combines elements of a test and a survey because, on the one hand, we want users to answer a series of questions, but initially there is no correct answer, so no score is assigned; instead, you receive a descriptive result of what we want to measure. For this reason, we recommend using it whenever you want to assess a characteristic, aptitude, trend, or behavioral pattern.
