Blockchain integration
Following the communication that you have received, we announce through this notification the integration of evolCampus with Blockchain technology for the registration of diplomas and certificates generated from the platform.
As many of you may know, Blockchain is a system that, among many other things, ensures the authenticity of the certificates. This technology prevents the registered diplomas from being altered or manipulated neither by the user, nor by third parties, which guarantees their veracity and prevents fraud.
The technology works as a decentralized registry that records data in several places at the same time, making it a secure system for verifying credentials.
To start using it, simply follow these steps:
- Access the “Settings” of the platform and in the “Add-ons” section you will find a new option to activate Blockchain:
- Accept the consequences of activating this add-on:
Each of the certificates that are registered in the Blockchain network has a cost of 0,75€. Initially each customer will have 50 free certificates.
- Choose the group(s) of learners where you want to activate the validation of the certificates and access the certificate you have configured to activate this new option:
- Accept the corresponding notification:
From that moment on, once a learner meets the requirements for passing the course and their certificate is generated, it will be automatically sent to the Blockchain network for registration. Within a maximum period of 24 hours it will be registered and it will be then when the certificate can be downloaded.
This information will be reflected if you access the download of the certificate from the enrollment of the learner (see example), as well as from the campus, if the download option for learners is enabled.
When a learner's certificate has been registered in the Blockchain network, it will be visible at a glance from the “Reports” menu, through the logo that will appear in the certificate column:
In your control panel you will be able to check at any time information about the number of certificates that have already been generated in the Blockchain network, as well as those that remain free of charge:
This is the link to the website that you will see when sharing the certificate on social networks or scanning the QR code, from where you can validate the authenticity of the certificates that have already been registered in the Blockchain network: https://checkonblockchain.com/?lang=en
