Certificate and surveys available after course completion

Sometimes, either due to an internal need or due to a requirement from an external entity, it is necessary that learners can only access the certificate or surveys once the course has been completed.

To enable this possibility, we have included a new field that will be available as long as the learners have reached the marked passing criteria. The new “check” has been incorporated both for the end of course certificate and for the final survey.

Certificate

When creating the certificate, we will find the new option for the certificate to be generated and can be downloaded by the learners who have passed the course once the course is finished. We can indicate if the access is enabled the day after finishing the course or a few days later, depending on the specific needs we have.

For example, if the certificate has been configured with a final grade, and we have activities that are likely to be corrected later, it will be advisable to delay the date on which the learner can download it to give the teacher time to correct it. In this way, we ensure that the final grade of the course is included in the certificate.

If a learner tries to download the certificate before the end date of the course, an informative message will appear telling the learner to wait until the end of the course:

When creating the final group survey, we can choose whether we want the learners who have passed the course to complete it on the last day of the course:

Please note that, in these cases, the behavior of the platform will be different from what we are used to, since the learners who have passed the course before its end date, will have to re-enter the platform to fill in the survey/s or download their certificate. Remember that they will always be available on their campus, even if their enrollments are archived at that time.
